Catch the Creation of the First Zip Bus


CHOCTAW, Miss. - (February 9, 2004) - The Zip Public Transit, Philadelphia and Choctaw's new public transportation system, will unveil the first Zip bus in a media event on February 10, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at the Choctaw Transit Building located at the Pearl River Community on the Mississippi Choctaw Reservation in Choctaw, Miss. Media is invited to participate with interviews following the wrapping of the bus.

The Zip, a rural public transportation system created in partnership with Community Development Partnership, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and Mississippi Department of Transportation, offers safe, affordable and reliable transportation to locals and visitors and during the week of February 14-19, The Zip will offer unlimited free rides. The official launch of the Zip will take place in a February 22, 2005 , ceremony set for 1:30 p.m. on the south side of the courthouse square in Philadelphia, Miss.
