The Zip is a rural public transportation system that was created through a grant from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. In 2004, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians was awarded a grant to develop a transportation system that would serve area citizens and their transportation needs. The Tribe then partnered with the Community Development Partnership to create what is now known today as The Zip.
